I was diagnosed on May 9th and start EC chemo tomorrow, I'm going to try the cold cap but in preparation I had a lot cut off my hair today. As I wrote in my resilience diary tonight ,I looked at the quote on tomorrow's page and it seems very poignant so I thought I'd share it.
Take care everyone
Sarah
Hi Sarah, l will start my chemio soon , will try cold cap ,it will work . I want to prepare myself with a wig, could you please share from where you get it
Saw my oncologist on Monday, she thinks after just 2 cycles of EC chemo, the grade 3 tumour has halved in size !
Got scan on 18th August to see for certain.
Today is last EC until I switch to THP.
Still clinging onto my hair, it's alot thinner but the wave helps hide it as does hair bands.
Wow that’s fantastic Sarah, the EC drug is very powerful.
I’m glad you are still hanging on to your hair, I hope you don’t lose anymore. I had my last EC on Monday, my hair is very dry and tangles but I’m just trying to be very gentle with it. Wearing my wig which is lovely.
Wishing you well today with your last EC that you feel ok xx
Think it might be last time for cold cap as parting is quite thin and it feels colder today .
I went down a cap size on Monday due to thinning and bald patches. Was very cold also.
