Hi
I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy August 2023. I’ve been waiting patiently for my blue dye to disappear . Whilst it has faded a lot it is still clearly visible .i know it seems minor but it annoys me as its the first thing I see when I look at my breast .
Has anyone else had persistence of the blue discolouration? Did it fade away eventually?
Hi Polly17 welcome to the forum..Wow I've never heard of the dye lasting so long. It's maybe worth it if you still have contact with the breast team giving them a call and asking their advice. Someone may be here who has experienced this and I'm sure they will be along to.offer up information for you. Hope you get sone answers and I'm interested to hear hiw you get on with this best wishes Gail
Had my lumpectomy and sentinel biopsy Dec 2022. Still got a blue boob which looks like a huge bruise ,lm not bothered about it but don’t think things are going to change after this time either, told that it rarely lasts this long but if it distresses you why don’t you have a word with your breast nurse.
