Hi,
I have opted to cold cap throughout my 8 rounds of chemotherapy and have completed 2 of EC. Started shedding hair on day 19 and by day 22 I had to admit defeat and got rest of hair shaved. I am still going to cold cap for the remaining rounds as hoping it will help with regrowth. My question is that I’m looking to buy some sort of (probably disposable) surgical cap to protect my scalp from the cold cap (I have had a no.2 all over so not completely bald….yet!). Can any of you lovely people who have done the same tell me what you have used and possibly send me to the link of any you have bought. Thank you ️
Hi beckiboo, exactly the same thing happened to my daughter. She has lost 80% of her hair after cycle 2 and had the last bits shaved off. She hated the cold cap, found it the worst part of treatment and was more than happy to give it up. Can't help with a surgical csp, but I can tell you that daughter's hair had grown back probably thicker than it was before. Now about four inches long, styled, and she's recently had her first highlights. Don't worry too much, you will get there.
Best of luck with your treatment. xx
