Hi Nikki welcome to the forum..The boosts as far as I know target specifically the tumour area directly. They are not any different to the sessions that you have already had. I can appreciate how you are feeling with severe burns I had the same but with the right treatment and dressings it healed up really well. It has to be your choice and whatever you decide to do has to feel right for you.. What does your breast team think? It might be worth having a chat and then you are as well informed as you can be about what difference this will make for the future. Best ×wishes Gail x
Breast care nurse said they didn’t know what to advise best speaking to radiotherapies the nurse gave me a foam dressing which just prevents skin touching and they said a radiologist and consultant to speak to me but after two days still no contact so I have already missed the first boost
