Hello, I was diagnosed with hormone related breast cancer one year ago. Had a mastectomy of right breast and 2 nodes removed. Got the all clear in May 24. I’ve recently discovered a small lump in my armpit on the same side as the surgery. I have an appointment on 19th and am worried. Anyone else had this?
Hi Jo08 , good you’re getting it checked out. I’ve had a few ‘scares’ in the years after my diagnosis in autumn 2018, a breast lump which was just a nodule (whatever that is!), nipple discharge which was never explained but nothing sinister found, and a skin lesion. I haven’t had an armpit lump as such but I have sometimes thought that it looked like there was some kind of swelling in either or both armpits. But nothing has ever showed up. Sorry you’re having this worry, fingers crossed it will turn out to be nothing of concern. If only we could be checked out immediately, waiting for appointments again is horrible. Love and hugs, HFxx
Thank you for your kind words, I’ve got everything crossed ️
