Ok so chemo 2 nailed and now to get stymie- reckon I’ll shave it this week and im not going to cry! Got some looks sorted for baldness and want to buy a wig or two for variety.

  1. Should I go all out £5/600 and get human hair?
  2. do some cheaper ones work just as well and I could get a few???
  3. My hair has always grown slowwwwwly and has take about 7 years to get to how it is now which actually I like . What irony.

but I’m seeing it as an opportunity!
any recommendations gratefully received!

TIA

  • Stylie that should have said ooops

  • Hi, mine was synthetic, cost about £150 and I loved it. It was reasonably comfortable but I went for a very different colour and style and people who didnt know me thought it was natural.  Best wishes

  • Cool thank you. Some are crazy prices!!!!

  • I had a beautiful wig from Raoul Wigmakers in London, they can do remote consultations. That said, I never wore it once!  I thought I would as I was self conscious but I just preferred the feel of beanie hats. Everyone is different though and plenty love their wigs and they look so natural, even the synthetic ones. So my advise would be get one synthetic one, see if you like it and use it, then get more. All the best xx

  • Hi Golightly,  I definately wouldn't buy a human hair wig.  They are very difficult to maintain.  The synthetic ones look completely natural and are very easy to wash and then hang up and they dont lose their style or shape.  You could buy a few synthetic ones in different styles, length and colour.  Good luck.
