Hi,I lost most of my body hair during chemo. The hair on my head is growing back nicely although now wavy, grey and very fine/fluffy.
However, I've noticed that I'm getting a growth of very fine hair down the side of my cheeks - side burns almost . The hairs are light and I can really only see them in the mirror when the sun is shining in through the window.
I don't want them there and want to tackle the problem but worried that I might make things worse.
I have been taking Letrozole for 4 months now and wondering if the hair growth is a result of the medication.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so how do you deal with the unwanted fuzz.

Hi deebee60 yes this has been an issue for me, I am on anastrozole but similar side effects as letrozole. It’s like baby hair or fluff in our case. I use an eye brow/ facial hair trimmer on my face, it doesn’t grow back any thicker, just the same baby fluff. They are very inexpensive, I got mine from Amazon, I’ll upload a picture so you can see what it looks like.
Thank you Chelle, I was worried that it would grow back thick and stubbly and turn into a full grown beard if I trimmed it.
Can I ask, how long have you been taking anastrozole ?
and do you have to use the trimmer every day ?
Also does it cut it flat to the skin or leave a little bit of length?
Thanks
dx
I’ve been on anastrozole for 9 years, letrozole one year previously to that. I use the razor about once a month, it’s never become stubbly.i don’t really notice it growing back, I’m just aware when it needs doing again. It leaves it smooth and flat to the skin, you’ll be surprised by just how much comes off !
Hi Chelle is that a picture of the one you use? I've searched amazon and can't find the exact one. Would you be able to send a link for me please.

There are several different ones, if you search eyebrow trimmer it should come up, but this is the one I use.
