Hi, so sorry to hear this. I have intermittent pain in my knees and ankles, and much worse if I have walked too much, and bizarrely also when I do not walk enough, or if I stand for too long. You might want to chat to your Doctor and see what they can recommend in terms of dose or switching medication, best wishes
Thank you for replying. I have spoken to my breast nurse today and they are going to discuss changing medication xx
Hi. I've had to change from Letrozole to Exemestane after 9 months as the knee pain was unbearable. I had mild arthritis in one knee after a fall and tearing the cartilage, but the latest x-rays showed it in both knees now. The other side effects of Letrozole were pretty horrendous too but not so bad on Exemestane. My knees still hurt but I feel I'm having more good days than bad now and I'm on the National exercise referral scheme through Public Health Wales which although is so hard some days, it's definitely helping. Speaking to the occupational therapist has helped immensely too as she's given me strategies to cope with the pain and fatigue. Compared to how I was at Christmas, I'm so much better now.
All the best for your treatment. I hope the pain improves for you. x
