Hi all, I had my main treatment (chemo/mastectomy/radio) in 2022 and then was on abemaciclib for 2 years and am still on Letrozole and Zoladex and also zoledronic acid IV.
I find I still wake a lot in the night particularly to go for a wee several times. Then often cannot get back to sleep.
I try not to drink anything (not even water) after 8pm and I gave up caffeine several years ago but yet still need the loo in the night. Is it worth going to the GP for this? And any ideas welcome for general better sleep too. Any tips welcome!
Hi. I was on Letrozole and have the infusion every 6 months too. I had problems with joint pain and fatigue mainly but also get up several times a night to wee. My GP put me on Betmiga (mirabegron) for an overactive bladder which has helped with the urgency but I wonder if it's more of a habit now than an actual need to go. The app Headspace or Sleepio helped me with going back to sleep, especially if thoughts were racing around my head.
I'm on Exemestane now but it's early days to say if it's any better. It's worth having a chat to your GP or support team too.
All the best. x
Thanks for replying - will follow up with GP. Helpful to know it’s not just me! X
