As fast as you can

My wife  found a new lump in collar  bone area at xmas 

It's not what we wanted to  happen  but has not spread  beyond  .oncologist  was very worried  at start as she thought  it would  be worse  but she was seen as quick as possible  due to not hanging  around  waiting  on next scan

Hi Lainia, 

I had a conversation with my BCN on Tuesday about exactly this sort of situation. It was my end of treatment review and she told me, quite categoricaly, that if find any lump, even if it's only a couple of weeks before my annual screening is due I MUST contact the unit immediately. If it's something they can deal with it quickly and if it's nothing they can put my mind at ease. So, please make that call. July is too far away to just watch and wait.

I called my cancer nurses Friday and they called back within 2 hours and said they would get me an appointment within two weeks. They then called today with an appointment for Sunday morning. I won’t lie, I am very anxious. 

I'm so glad you made the call and it's good that they can see you so soon - though I guess even Sunday feels like a lifetime away. I understand that you will be really anxious, but the sooner you know what's going on the better. It's the waiting and imagining all sorts that's so hard.
