I had a mastectomy and implant nearly 4 weeks ago on a Friday . It was a three hour op. I was kept in overnight but transferred to a Urolgy ward for the night as other wards closed for the weekend.
discharged the next morning without seeing a doctor. This was in Sussex.
I had a single mastectomy with diep flap reconstruction so had a longer stay in hospital than if it had been an implant. My operation was on a Tuesday and I was discharged on Sunday without an issue. I could have stayed longer if I wanted to but I wanted out. lol.
As long as they are happy with your recovery you can decide when and if you go. I would just play it by ear and see how you feel when you're there.
