Letrazole and itchy skin

I have been taking letrazole for nearly 11 months now, and apart from the aching joints, dry mouth and eyes, I’m tolerating it.
I’m not sure if it’s connected but since finishing 14 rounds of kadcyla infusions 8 weeks ago  my  skin has been a disaster. I have very sensitive skin anyway but now seem to be covered in a light red itchy rash all my body. I saw my GP for an eczema type rash last week and given hydrocortisone.
I’m just interested to know whether anyone else has experienced a rash as a side effect from taking letrazole

thank you

  • Hello

I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan. I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered, I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer however by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and answered by other members of the breast cancer group.

I have prostate cancer and part of my treatment is hormone therapy - which has given me itchy skin. After trying out many creams I have settled on Childs Farm Baby moisturiser - it works for me, but we all have different skin. I do hope you get an answer to your question.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi

I’m sorry I don’t have the right experience to help you but have you got a BCN you could contact? It may be that you are having a reaction to the medication you are on or have been on, so if you have details of your BCN they might be able to confirm if this might be the reason, or suggest anything more specific that could help you. I hope you can find something which works.

    Sarah xx
