  • Hi Desibaji.        I was changed to exemestane after letrazol caused me to have dreadful depression after 18 months. Now lm back to normal, and fairly quickly, and the only problem was a bit of nausea which stopped as l now take it at least half an hour after breakfast.       Good luck on this journey that non of us wanted to take ,there are so many of us and we are all here to support each other.x Dizzy Di

  • Thank you so

much for your quick response and advice. I took letrozole initially and it gave me suicidal thoughts. So that was a definite no.
so just started examestane. Fingers crossed it’s not a challenging journey. Best of luck for your healing journey. My healing prayers are with you Pray tone1

  • I’ve found that AI’s give me foot cramps especially in the wee small hours, stiff and achey ankles. I had a year off them (then had a recurrence so more surgery, rads and back on them, Exemestane this time) and during that year the symptoms were improving gradually and I was beginning to feel great. Also able to lose the weight which had gradually piled on. Now I’m putting some on again in spite of eating incredibly healthily.

So just be aware! However I think the foot symptoms aren’t that common…

  • Thank you for replying my dear.
day 1 for me today. Have had mild nausea all day. Have put on a stone during and after treatment. Im Assuming its the medical menopause that has slowed my metabolism. Im Not  a big eater. And never been this weight.
Really depressed about it. And just can’t do the vigorous  working out  i used to to be able to.
good luck with you health journey pray for ease for you x
