Hi. I've recently went to the doctor with a lump in my armpit I have been ill with the flu .. the doctor said it was properly a swollen lymph node but would refer me to the breast clinic to check.
Today I've had a letter from he nhs saying urgent suspected cancer referral. I'm panicking. Anyone else had this letter saying g the same on please
Hi Loulou12 welcome to the forum..To be referred to the Breast Clinic the idea is to rule things out as well as check for other things. I know it probably sounds really bad when you see that written down but what it does mean that you will go onto a 2 week list which is the standard to be seen. It means that you won't be hanging about for ages and hopefully by the time you get there that lymph node could well have gone down but it really is better to be checked.
