Hello, I was referred to the breast clinic last month after finding a lumo & having nipple leakage. They found another lump in clinic. They weren’t too concerned from ultrasound, but were concerned about nipple leakage. They brought me back today & have decided on a removal of the ducts in my right breast with surgery in 3 weeks; then they will check the ducts removed. Bit of a shock tbh. Has anyone been through this surgery & happy to share the recovery/outcome please? X
Hi Sb31 welcome to the forum. No wonder you are shocked you have had overwhelming news and little time to.process that..I'm imagining that removing these ducts will be done by a Lumpectomy but this can leave a dip in the breast so just be prepared for that. Pain is the obvious thing and they will advise re this before you leave the hospital. The other thing they may do is ask you to wear a soft bra day and night for a few weeks after surgery to keep the swelling down for you..However, we are here as you need us to be so please keep in touch and ask any questions you have . Sending some huge big hugs your way for now. X
