Chemo frequency

Hi I’m away to start chemo - oncologist saying 4 sessions EC then 4 sessions of paclitaxel . This seems to be the standard treatment but they are saying to receive every two weeks rather than every three.

i just wondered if anyone else here is on the same regime ? Or has any information about why every fortnight rather than 3 weeks - thanks - I’m in Scotland .

Hi there, I just noticed you haven't had any replies yet and, as the site is busy, your post has dropped down a few pages so my response will bump it back up. I didn't have EC myself, but taking a look at some of the info available it can be given every 2-3 weeks. Best wishes

Hello!

I am also due to have EC for 4 cycles every 2 weeks. Then paclitaxel for 4 more every 2 weeks. I am due to start tomorrow.

Hi!

No I am in England- Kent. I assume if the frequency is 2 weeks not 3 would that mean the dosage would be different? I can ask at my first session tomorrow if that would help?
