Hi,
Hope you're all ok. I know this isn't much at all given what we are all going through but I could do with feeling a little better about myself . Although I haven't lost my hair this time round it is very thin, course, dry and grey. I wondered if anyone had any experience of any shampoos that could make it a bit softer and in better condition and maybe bring some shine back and maybe just help me feel a little more like my old self. Thank you all and look after yourselves x
Hi there, I just noticed that your post hasn’t had any replies yet and as the site is quite busy, it's dropped down a few pages. My response will bump you back up and I hope someone with the right experience will be along soon. Best wishes
Hi Lolly P
When I lost my hair I washed what was remaining with the mildest shampoo I could find. I continued to do that as it grew back and it seems in a great condition, although I do add a mild conditioner as well now.
Mine also grew back grey but gradually changed back to my normal colour, albeit with some grey in it still.
I don't know how long ago yours started to grow back but maybe it's still early days yet?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad you've managed to get your hair back to a nice condition. My treatment is ongoing with no end date so my hair isn't getting chance to ever fully recover. I just need to get it to look the best it can while still on chemo. I'll try getting something really mild and see if that helps. I hope you are keeping well x
Having continuous treatment must be very hard to deal with Lolly P so I can understand you wanting to get back to feeling a bit like your old self again.
Have you taken a look to see if the Look Good Feel Better workshops (www.lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk) might be something you'd be interested in? They have a section on hair care.
I'm doing well, and thanks very much for asking.
((hugs))
