Hi

I was diagnosed with her2 positive breast cancer end of November 2023.  I've had seven rounds of chemo , nine sessions of radiotherapy and two operations.  Iam back to work full time but don't feel like the same person as I was before and I'm struggling with tiredness not sure if it's to do with taking tamoxifen! Just wondering how everyone  else manages with fatigue or if there is anything I can do to improve it ? Thank you.

  • Hi, I wondered if you've had a chat with your GP or breast cancer team to see if there is anything they recommend?  I am lucky in that I do not struggle with the fatigue that many people describe, but I do walk a lot and my oncologist told me at the start of my journey that this would likely be a positive benefit for me.  Best wishes

  • Hi, I was diagnosed in 2023. I’m on abeemaciclib & Anastrazole. I work full time but I work from home 2 days a week. I hated the fatigue as I am very active. Here’s what helps me. I go to acupuncture once a month. I walk every day but I’m lucky as I can walk to work so an easy commute. I try not to eat after 7pm. I go to strength training. I cut out alcohol. I try and get up at the same time every day regardless of how tired I feel. I always try to have at least 2L of water. That is what helps me. Some days are harder than others and I feel it’s nearly a full time job managing the fatigue, stress and family. I do have a very helpful husband, a cat & my kids are in their 20s. Please note I try and some days I just want to stay in bed
