Hi Everyone
This is a cautionary tale, in case any of you is stupid enough to do what I did.
I started taking Letrozole last year but was taken off it when I developed severe muscle and joint pain. I've been on Exemestane for ten months. So far, so good.
But I didn't know what to do with my surplus Letrozole tablets, which were still in date. My local pharmacy doesn't take tablets back, and I'm pretty sure we're not meant to flush them down the loo or put them in the bin.
So I decided to use them up, by alternating them with my Exemestane pills.
I know, I know - not my finest hour ! But I'm a natural war baby, who doesn't like to waste things. I was fine for six weeks, but then I started to feel my old Letrozole symptoms return.
I stopped taking Letrozole - for the second and final time - and burnt the remaining tablets on the fire. I still don't feel right, but I'm better than I was.
Please don't do what I did !
Take care, everyone xx
