Hi I’m just passed 5 years of having cancer, I can have no eastrogen and the menopause has turned me into an angry horrible person. Any ideas or tips please. Thanks

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I don't have any tips for you but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

I hope you're able to find something that helps

    ((hugs))

  • Hi,

I have been taking tamoxifen for just over 3 years and this has given me all the menopause symptoms (for the second time - I am now 73!).  Very annoying!

I take sage every day in the form of Menoforce tablets.  Although this doesn't sort everything it does reduce the symptoms.  I cleared it with my oncologist before I took them to make sure they were OK and didn't contain any plant oestrogens.  I also take Vitamin D and calcium every day to counter the osteoporosis effect.

I wish you all the best.

    Jane
