My wife has been on Capecitibine for almost a month now and she is really struggling. Each day is getting worse. She can't remember anything from even a few seconds ago. She really doesn't know what she is meant ho be doing and I now can't leave her alone for a minute. She thinks milk is kept in the knives and forks drawer. Forgotten her pin fie her ca4d. Doesn't know where the plates are kept, cannot work the tv remote etc, I am struggling myself to 5he point of really being upset. I know what a full-time carer has to cope with now, it is like I have lost my wife.
Hi Gary1957
I'm sorry to read how much you and your wife are struggling at the moment.
It's important to speak to her medical team, if you haven't already, to make sure that what she's experiencing is down to the side effects of the drug and nothing else. If it is side effects from the drug they may be able to give her something to help.
