How long should I expect to be in hospital?
They said I’m an out patient so no overnight stay x
Hi Burgess.
It all depends on what time you go to theatre. I didn't go down until 2.45 and was there from 7.30 am. Also although I was an out patient I had a bad time with the anaesthetic so didn't go home until the following afternoon.
The lumpectomy itself was the easy part with very little pain after and a quick recovery.
All the best for tomorrow x
Hello there.
I had my lumpectomy today. I was admitted at 7.30am. First in the list so went down about 9am and was home by 1pm. I had lymph nodes biopsy done at the same time. I actually feel okay the lumpectomy hasn't caused any issues today but my underarm biopsy area is a little tender.
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow.
Hi Burgess , I had an afternoon slot so went in at 12.30, had op around 4pm, out and home by 8pm. However I took stuff with me just in case I had to stay overnight for any reason. Good luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you. Love and hugs, HFxx
