Hi iam starting a new chemo and injections. I have never had these injections before and am a bit to say the least concerned. Can anyone tell me what to exprct please,
I had these injections every day for a week. It was to help produce white blood cells which the chemo can reduce. Mine was a pen that was pushed against the skin to inject. My OH is Type 1 diabetic and an expert with injections so he gave them to me but a friend living on her own, did her own because they weren't difficult. I got a bit of pain from time to time from the injections but nothing unbearable. It was better than having the chemo delayed which happened to me twice, once before I was given the injections and once even though I had taken them.
Hope all goes well with the treatment.
Love Karen
