I had a mastectomy with 4 lymph nodes (sentinel) removed on Thursday. Had implant and breast reduction of healthy boob at same time. Obviously prepared for constipation due to codeine based pain relief which is being managed with Laxitol. But OMG the wind! I’m sleeping wedged up and believe I’m mouth breathing (hubby says) I wake up with horrendous upper abdominal pain until I can ‘pass wind’ which I do at a frequent rate . I am assuming this is a post surgery thing that will pass or may be due to ‘swallowing air’ due to sleeping upright? - is this normal? Bowels moving ok now (a bit loose) and with the exception of pain relief all I’m taking is antibiotic's. Hopefully it will stop soon so I can return to polite society
.
loool, it didn't work for me, I have some other stuff but still a slow go. Its a balancing act for sure. I hope it settles for you, dandelion tea perhaps, and ginger sweets to reduce inflyamtion in the gut a little. Self tummy massage and hot water bottle helps a a little too!
