Hi
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last march. I have had a mastectomy and 20 lymph nodes removed (cancer in 5 of them). I have had 8 rounds of chemo followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy targeting chest, armpit and a bit of neck. This finished on the 17th January. In the last few days I have felt sore and tender which I expected but I can now feel a lump in my neck which is sore to touch. Has anyone else experienced this after radiotherapy? Could it just be an inflamed lymph node due to the radiotherapy? I have tried to google this but cant find an answer. I will of course have it looked at if it does not settle down in due course.
hi, i just finished the 12th, had a lumpectomy and sentinel node +1 or 2 removed.
they did irradiate a lymph around collarbone as its red and the skin reacted, I didnt expect that, would give your team a call and ask what they say?
it could be a reaction, but best to ask.
