Hi Guys!

Was umming and arring about sending this post and then thought what the hell may as well ask!  Feeling like I am reaching full capacity of all the tests that keep having to go to but needs must I guess!

Wanted to ask if anyone has had similar treatment plan to which I'll be starting on in a couple of weeks hopefully once last batch of monitoring tests are done. I'll be on docetaxel and carboplatin for chemo and then also targeted therapy of Phesgo.  From what I've read, these are very commonly used and standard for neo-aduvent treatment esp with high +ive HER2. ( I have triple positive diagnosis)

Appreciate any information or wise words of wisdom from you wonderful people! Blush

  • Hi Poorbooby

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer.  While I didn't have the drugs you will be on, my chemo drugs were AC and dose denseTaxol I noticed that you haven't had any answers yet so I thought I'd reply to you to welcome you to the forum.  Hopefully someone will be along shortly with the information for you.

Wishing you the best of luck with syour treatment.

  • Hi Poorbooby

I had exactly the same chemo for triple positive breast cancer.  Finished 6 cycles in November last year, was to carry on with Phesgo for another 6 months. However, plans changed when results of lumpectomy showed a residue remaining, I was switched to 14 rounds of Kadcyla.  I am due to have number 12 next Friday, should all be finished by Christmas, apart from the 6 monthly infusions of zoledronic acid.  It is a long journey but thankfully have not had too many problems. Hope all goes well for you too. Xx

  • Hi Mimosa

Thank you did your reply.  Sorry to hear that you had to have treatment changed but fingers crossed not long to go till Christmas! Good to hear that  there weren't too many problems. Getting to the point I just want to get started now!

Hope the rest of your treatment and recovery goes well x

  • After the 4 cycles of docetaxel and cyclophosphamide (2019), I had 25 radiation treatments and one year of intravenous herceptin. During my treatment I had 2 bone scans and 4 muga scans.  I think it was well worth it!
