Drinking cut down prior to surgery

Hi Jan MB I am cutting down too for my surgery next week,it's pretty hard to do when you have all the worry on your shoulders 

How much were you drinking and how much have you cut down to?

I was drinking around 8 cans of lager around 5 times a week and have cut down to twice a week with 4 cans...I should just stop but feel like things are too worrying at the moment...

How many units in a can of lager? 

3.8% (the one I drink)

Well good luck it is very hard. I have managed less than. 1 bottles tonight !

Hi, one of the things that helped me cut down alcohol was to buy alcohol free wine, it tastes not as good, but ok. I also quite like the flavoured tonic waters as an alternative to a G&T.  Good luck, it is really hard I know

hi jan you are a girl after my own heart .I love my wine and will never give up, I had mastectomy on my left breast in August after a shocking diagnosis in July. Am going through chemo now and stillove my wine on the days I’m feeling good x
