Hi I had a lump removed just over a month ago and have been following all the rules about what you should not do etc.
I am due to start a course of radiotherapy shortly but don’t know what I can or cannot do now sox weeks on. Can I hang washing out etc, do housework.
any guidance greatly appreciated.
Hi Christ thats an unusual name you have picked there? Welcome to the forum. As long as you have full movement in the arm on the side where you had surgery you should be able to do all those things you are asking as long as you dont overdo things.
The main features of Radiotherapy that you may feel are issues with fatigue which usually kicks in about day 10 and skin care which is so important as your skin will be fragile from Radiotheraoy so best to use a moisturiser, Aloe Vera is good an d you can keep it in the fridge. Dont use any creams at all before you have the radiotherapy and drink plenty of water.
Sending very best wishes your way. xxx
