Hi, I first was diagnosed with breast cancer in dec 2022 I had 2 excisions which led to chemo from the onco test then finished with surgery for an implant early august. I have now been given the all clear but I keep having mood swings. I was really over the moon at first but now I have days when I’m in a bad mood and felling really low . Is this normal?
I remember in November last yr oncologist (lovely man) said “I do not expect the cancer to come back” (some don’t seem to say all clear). I didn’t skip out if there..a strange feeling if “how does he KNOW it won’t come back?” came over me, but since then, I don’t even think about it anymore! Live your Life! It is normal to feel frustrated, angry, bewildered…it’s been a life changing experience. I wish you the v best xx
Hi Susiesam , think that’s a natural response at your stage, a real mix of emotions. I find this article really useful to return to from time to time, seems to sum it all up so well. I’ll try to post the link…

I’m nearly 5 years post diagnosis now, still have ups and downs, still have anxieties about various things, but also enjoying lots of aspects of my ‘new normal’. Love and hugs, HFxx
