I had chemo, mastectomy and finally radiotherapy which finished 8 months ago.
not complaining but does anyone have any pain/discomfort from their node clearance still?
Just curious, totally grateful for the treatment received and would rather have a ‘dodgy’ arm than cancer.

Oh boy yes! Scar is nearly gone after a yr thnx to E45 but underarm and chest I have mild lymphoedema which I massage towards heart area (as directed by clinic, where the main lymph is). Under arm is v tight so on my dog walk i stretch both arms up, down, sideways, across chest, etc to tease out the tightness and pain/discomfort. (Obviously dog is off lead, haha!) the area does get more flexible slowly. Best wishes!
Thanks Tavares - I will remember to take Lewis’ lead off first - don’t want to launch him…. It’s worth asking sometimes just for reassurance. I think we might be at the same stage, main scar going but underarm well tight. Best wishes.

Yep, don’t launch the dog! I had mastectomy feb last yr, followed by chemo, then RT in sept. RT has left issues of discomfort ie. If I try to reach behind me with left arm, it goes numb for a short while! It’s good to know that we’re all in this together and I know that positivism is the way forward! Laugh at least once a day!
Must admit my big hope after diagnosis was to be able to walk dogs along the beach and I can ! My needs are simple !
Keep well and happy.
