I have just had my second session of chemo and I am worried about a visit from our “adopted” Granddaughter and her 6 month old baby girl. I would love to see them but don’t want to worry about whether it is safe to have close contact with the baby. I would hate to cause trouble with the baby’s health.
hi, I think the concern is the other way around, more for you due to chemo. because you are immunocompromised.
from a medical, its the stuff inside
“Chemotherapy poses very little risk to babies and toddlers, as they are unlikely to come into contact with the medical drugs or bodily fluids. However, it is the responsibility of adults to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of any infants and young children.”
