Hi everyone, my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer last June (2022), she has had 2 surgeries, 6 months chemo, 3 months radio and is now having fortnightly injections - and is ready for a holiday! Travel insurance is a minefield, we have read the support pages but can anyone recommend a specific company as even getting a quote is hard ? Tia

  • If it’s any help, daughter uses Insurance with as she travels both for work and pleasure. ( long illness which you can read on my profile) They have been excellent with no quibble once she needed to claim due to really bad sinusitis and ear infection.

My advice is to phone up and discuss with the broker staff as they can often advise and be very helpful.

    Hope you’re successful

  • Hi, not sure if you've checked out this group, it might help Travel insurance group with some ideas and recommendations, I was able to get very reasonably priced cover post treatment using some of the ideas here, best of luck

  • Try www.payingtoomuch.com. it's a screenscraper like compare the meerkat specifically for those with preexisting medical conditions. It asks about your conditions and can bring up a range of quote. I got joint annual European insurance for hubby and I for around 160 quid and he has load of conditions too

  • Hi I just went on Confused and did one off there, it asked questions about conditions etc , I put everything it asked. £ 10 for week in Greece. It was about £18 last year for fortnight, I've not had any issues.
