While having chemo. I developed skin problems with my hands and feet. Severe peeling and bleeding soles. I'm still having these problems even though chemo stopped a year ago. My doctor has given me creams etc. Helps for a while. But then. Back again it flares. Walking is painful. Any suggestions????

Hi Boo329
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your hands and feet even though chemo stopped for you a year ago. While I don't have any suggestions for you I noticed that you haven't had any replies yet so I thought I'd reply to you to move you to the top of the discussion. Hopefully someone will be along soon with some suggestions for you.
Best wishes

Hi Boo359 I had something similar during chemo although perhaps not quite so severe. My main problem was redness and a burning sensation on my feet and constantly peeling skin. Sometimes they felt like they were in fire and walking was painful. I was recommended to use a cream with an ingredient called Urea in it, minimum 10% content. This worked really well. Eucerin is one brand but there are a few options.
Two years post chemo and my feet still get very very dry and will start peeling if I don’t use a proper foot cream on them every day.
Hope you find something that works for you x
