Is letrozole causing my dry eyes and recurrent uti feelings ?

im pretty desperate here!

my dry red eyes been looked at and to do eyelid hygiene 4 x daily and liquid tears. My main issue right now is burning uti feeling for past 3 days . Taking cystalieve and D Manoose tablets but I’ve just dipped tested my urine and showing protein blood and luecocyte positive which always points to uti . Will phone gp in morning. This happens approx every 2 months
my question is , anyone else suffering this due to letrozole and have you been told this ?

Hi, sorry to hear you're struggling. I don't recall seeing these side effects talked about as a consequence of letrozole, but I'm not an expert. I'd suggest you give the lovely team at Macmillan a call on 0800 808 0000 and ask to speak to one of the nurses, especially if you can't get to your GP. Best wishes

Yes! I only one had a UTI before letrozole, during my second pregnancy, but have had them a few times and very dry in that area on letrozole. I also had a retinal detachment after 3 months of daily letrozole and still get light flashes now and then and have a floater in that eye. Taking it alternate days helped a bit, but you need to speak to your oncologist. It sounds like you are trying all the usual supplements to help already, but it might be worth speaking to your doctor? X
