I thought it was very good that she is saying that she nearly didn't bother to go for the mammogram because it was a hot day. Some of the early morning presenters were responding to that realising they should make their appointments. Hopefully many other women who are afraid to go or can't be bothered will now.
I was in the same situation. No outward signs and very busy as my m-i- law had just died at 94 and I was sorting her affairs, but OH needed a back x ray so I threw the mammo invite at him as he was leaving and said make rv. Thankfully he did and I went. It wasn't a double mastectomy for me but TNBC ..........
I wish Sarah Ferguson well too. I also hope that all the NHS ladies still waiting for their treatment plans will be seen soon and on their way to recovery.
This also happened years ago with Jade Goodie (big brother) who had BC. She really drew attention to ladies (and men) checking themselves. I was told do it in the shower when you’re fully soaped up! BW Lacomtekp x
