Hi All,
Catastrophizing slightly…
My mortgage is up for renewal as well as life and critical cover. I don’t actually think I have critical illness cover at the moment, just life insurance.
I’ve got an appointment at breast clinic at the end of the month, no diagnosis and trying to stay optimistic (easier said than done).
Would I be able to apply now if there is a pending appointment? Terrified I don’t have cover and the worst comes to pass!
Hi there,
I was only talking about this with someone yesterday. Obviously different insurances have different terms and conditions so you would need to check direct with different ones to be sure I think. However, as far as I understand most companies have a three month ‘waiting period’ before they will pay out.
I didn’t have critical illness cover sadly (never thought I would get anything), but my friend did and paid off her mortgage.
Hoping you get good news at the end of the month and certainly it’s worth considering. I wish I had.
Jan x
