Hi everyone

So I start my chemotherapy treatment this Friday.  I've been told that the treatment will make my skin more sensitive and probably won't be able to use my usual products that I'm currently using.  Also I'm going to attempt the cold cap to try and save some of my hair if possible.  Would like some advice on skin and hair care products that are good for people whilst recieveing treatment xx

  • I stayed with Aveeno and Vaseline intensive cream. I lost all my hair after the first chemotherapy- not immediately but about two weeks after the session. This was despite using the cool cap.

  • Thank you Nottsgirl I'll try and give this cap a go of don't like it or it doesn't work then so be it.  I did get some Aveeno as heard some good things about it

  • Hi I have just completed 6 sessions of ECT chemo for stage 3 breast cancer and used the cold cap along with products from Daniel Field

I have managed to keep over 80% of my hair, its just thinner and unless you knew me, you would not know I was having chemo. My friends have been so surprised.

I recommend you google Daniel Field he has developed products for cancer sufferers and offers a 15 mins free telephone consultation about your chemo and his products. The range for me included scalp boosters for use with the cold cap and active growth serums which need to be used daily, morning and night.

He is a great guy not pushy and its certainly been worth it for me. He advised me NOT to cut my hair and he was right

I was recommended by a friend who had stomach cancer and similarly kept 70 % of her hair too

There are other users on the breast cancer now forum who have had good results with his products too

    Give him a call

    Good Luck
