Hi,
I'm just checking something out. Well, yes and being a bit paranoid.
I had triple negative breast cancer which ended up with a total mastectomy with delayed reconstruction. In the last week I have noticed the appearance of red dots on my healthy breast.
The dots are about 1mm and don't have a yellow head (so they don't look like acne). There are a few on my belly and one on my chest. There's about 15 in all, and most of them are down one side of my breast. They don't hurt or itch.
I know that they're probably nothing to worry about and are just one of those things. It's so minor that it seems silly to go to my GP or mention to my breast care nurse. I will keep an eye on things and if it gets worse or doesn't resolve I will see someone.
Has anyone had anything similar? If so, what happened?
Thank you.
Hello Snookie1971 - A long while back I had seen a tv program about a lady with her husband and they referred to her having these small red spots - which they ignored and it turned out that they shouldn't of ignored them - it meant more..... they were saying that 'no one had told them' etc.........
I looked and noticed I have them, mine for want of a better word look like tiny blood blisters - like a freckle or cherry spot - red/blood filled.
Following this at my next checkup appointment I asked my Consultant/Surgeon and showed him - he said it was nothing to worry about and told me the name (it won't come to me at the moment) - they are named after the lady that first found them or investigated them. I was assured there was nothing to worry about.
I will try and find the name of them - I am interested as I have noticed I have a few more than before but not so blood coloured more like the colour of a red/pink rash.
For peace of mind both for you and other ladies on here - I think it would be a good idea to ask your Breast Care Nurse (not so much your GP ..... "General" Practitioner - the nurse is more likely to have had many ask the same or will look into it former own knowledge.
Please keep us up to date - Thank You xx
