Having had a left sided therapeutic mammoplasty (January) followed by an axillary clearance (March) I wasn’t driving for a while, and used a big soft pillow to keep the seatbelt away from the tender bits while a passenger.
Now I’m back behind the wheel I’m struggling with getting the seatbelt comfortable. It keeps riding up too close to my operated breast. The pillow is too big and gets in the way of the steering wheel, (I am short, with short arms and have to sit quite close) I don’t want to keep tugging the belt down, and wondered if anyone else had found this problem and come up with a solution?
I found a seat belt cushion on etsy, it goes over the seat belt with velcro, I had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy but it was useful, I got a small one but they came in a bigger size as well
You can buy a cheap little plastic gadget that basically holds the seatbelt in place so it does not completely retract, but is still safe for an accident. I use these all the time and any good car accessories please should have them. Hope this helps
