Struggling with docetaxel

I had the filigrastim injections through all my chemo ( 3 EC & 3 Docetaxel ). I was able to manage EC but I got lots of side effects with Docetaxel, but not as serious as you, my oncologist reduced my last 2 doses and that helped a bit to make it a bit more manageable xx

Thanks. Can I ask how many injections you had each cycle. I've only had one per cycle but I know some people.have had more

I had the injections for 7 days after each cycle xx

I only have one per cycle 

I also found EC much easier. Docetaxel wasn't as bad as you, but I could barely get off the sofa for the first 10 days, which my oncologist wasn't happy about. Like Pep, I had my dosage reduced for final 2 cycles and it was more manageable.

Hi there - I’ve just done 3rd round of docetaxel and both the previous rounds landed me in hospital with neutropenic sepsis - it absolutely floored me. I’ve just have a 20% reduced round and not feeling as bad but cannot get off sofa or out of bed and still have the side effects such as diarrhoea etc. it’s so hard but I have one more round to go before I swap onto another for 4 rounds then a lumpectomy. Speak to your oncologist about a reduced dose if you can - best of kick I know how this feels xx

I have 5 per cycle starting 3 days after

Certainly can. I have two more cycles planned. Roll on 18th may.
