Good evening All,

I am looking for recommendations. I have completed 3xFEC plus 2xDPT (I have another 2xDPT to go). I used cold cap but lost lots of hair and have bald patch on top of my head. Lost majority of eyelashes and eyebrows (I had a very thick brows). Now I have noticed the eyebrows started growing back but wondered if there are any serums to help them grow quicker, same for eyelashes and hair.
When I try to do research, I get bombarded with the ads! But which products are actually good for us. Can we start using any even before end of chemo?

I would appreciate any recommendations Pray

  • Hi….. I am in the same boat as you. Just finished chemo and my lovely thick eyebrows have really thinned and lashes all gone Cry I have bout Eclat Organic Lash Serum and have noticed significant lash growth in 2 weeks! I put it on top eyelids every night. I bought on Amazon for about £12 and it has some very good reviews both on Amazon and generally. They say Vaseline is good for eyebrows growth but I haven’t tried that yet.Good luck! Am sure your lashes and brows will be back to their former glory soon xx

  • I am glad it works for you! Do you think I could start using it now (b4 end of chemo)?

it is those little things that mean a lot isn’t it

  • Hi. There are only plant based ingredients in the Eclat Serum so I don’t see why not…. You may want to check. However, whilst in chemo your hair regrowth may not start up. I started using the serum about 2 weeks after chemo had ended.

I agree with you, losing my eyelashes and brows was surprisingly a big thing to me! I cold capped and was lucky to not lose hardly any hair on my head so I should count myself lucky really….. Won’t be long before you have finished chemo too. Good luck as you move onwards and wishing you every success in your treatments xx

  • Thank you and wishing you all the best

  • Hi Sassy 68,

cancer hair care charity will be able to give you the appropriate advice on this. Book into one of their online workshops which is fantastic. They can give a personalised advice. To book, find the Look good feel better https://lookgoodfeelbetter.co.uk and choose the hair loss. They have a lot of workshops that are helpful. All are free. A couple of workshops I had been gave some goodies afterwards with products from well known companies.

    I hope that helps.

  • I used UKLash on my eyebrows with great success, but I didn't start using it until a couple of months after chemo. You would nee to check with your team whether you can use anything during chemo. The general rule of thumb is that you should avoid anything that goes against the chemo as you want the chemo to be working at it's best. So I would leave it until after you've finished, but do speak to your team.

  • I am seeing them next Wednesday, so shall ask. Thank you
