Hi just over a week ago I had my second chemo session which has gone much better than my first but I'm really struggling with a sore/dry mouth.
I'm going to speak to my nurse about this but just wondered if anyone had found something over the counter at the chemist that might help with this please?
Also, I cropped my hair when it started to fall out and the majority has now fallen out on its own, however, I'm still left with patches where the hair is still there (although very short!) and it's quite sensitive to touch. I know we're not meant to shave our heads due to risking a cut and causing infection, but how do people get rid of the remaining hair to stop it looking messy? I did read that some people use a lint roller but that seems a bit extreme to me!!
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Hi, sorry to hear you’re struggling with a few things. On the dry mouth, I ordered online, some pastilles called salivax and they helped a bit. Have you dried pineapple? That was recommended to me.
I must admit I did shave my head, well, my hairdresser did, and I didn’t think about cuts and infection and it made me feel a heck of a lot better I must admit.
Best wishes,
Hi that's great thank you I'll look at getting some of them ordered.
As for my hair I'll maybe get someone with a very steady hand to give it a go.
