Scans?

Hi All

Has anyone had any scans after completing treatment? I remember being told at the beginning of all this that there wouldn't be if there are clear margins after lymph node removal (9 removed with the last 3 being clear) . I'm due a call from my oncologist just after I finish my last oral chemo and wondered if it was worth asking.

I finished treatment (lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy) in January and the only scan I was told I'd have from now on would be a yearly mammogram.

Hi ,No! I expected to be told by oncologist, radiotherapy is finished and you can continue with tamoxifen see ya! but oncologist told me we will just do a full body scan to finish. So 3 weeks later had scan and then waited 3 months and got appointment with surgeon. Thought this is bad news but said your all clear. There seem to be so many different ways hospitals treat BC patients including timings and treatments .Kind regards.

I had chemotherapy, lumpectomy and radiotherapy that was 18 months ago. I didn't have any scans after that until a year after when I was due my first mammogram
