Lump in each breast

Hi Lily30 welcome to the forum. I think the GP has done exactly the right thing in referring you for expert advice.  They are unable, like the experts to tell you with any certainty what this is or could be.

When you go to the clinic they will examine you fully and may send you for a mammogram  so they can have  a better look at what this is  for you. Dependent on how easy it is to see what's going on not and they may decide to do biopsies to check and give definitive answers for you..

It may be that some of the other lovely folks on here have had similar experiences and may be able to offer more support for you.

You've absolutely done the right thing seeing your gp and it is great you have been referred to get things checked..like she says likely okay but best to be certain.  I put my breast lump down to post breast feeding changes for a long time and didn't go and see anyone.  If I'd been as sensible as you things would have been caught earlier.  Likely to be absolutely fine and then you will feel reassured knowing that you can rule things out.  If it is something then the sooner you know the better.  Best of luck.

I'm so sorry to hear to your diagnosis. Did you have any pain in your breast at all? My appointment is Tuesday so not long to wait now I'm so nervous. I have three under three. A little boy who is 2&1/2 and twin girls who are 15 months. Praying if it is something then it's caught early for their sake x

I did have some pain, like shooting/stabbing pains where the lump was.  I am glad you don't have much longer to wait for your appointment.  It's nerve wracking waiting around.  I hope that it goes well for you and you can get some reassurance :).
