Hi everyone! I just wondered if there was anyone in the group that has or had a malignant phyllodes tumour? Just wondered on what treatment plans you had been offered? Thanks x
Hi EwyBear
I'm just replying to your post to get it back to page 1. I'm hoping someone is around who can help you now as it's a fairly unusual diagnosis. If not, it might be worth asking the nurse if there's any more information that Macmillan can help you with.
Kindest Wishes, Lesley
Hi - Unfortunately, I've only just seen your post, so I hope my message finds you in reasonable spirits.
I was treated for a malignant tumour in March last year, had a lumpectomy in April, whereby the recommended margins could not be achieved, hence I was referred leading sarcoma centre/cancer hospital and underwent an extended radical mastectomy in August. I have recovered very well physically and have not required adjuvant radiotherapy. My next 3 monthly review at the specialist sarcoma clinic will be my last and I will be passed to a nurse led clinic for those reviews that follow, unless of course something shows up.
It is a lot to deal with, like any other malignant ailment, but Macmillan are a wonderful source plain, simple advice and support.
I hope your journey has the positive outcome you no doubt wish for, and, if there is anything else, this forum is a good place to land.
Take care and I wish you well. xx
