Hi

I am almost 3 years since primary breast cancer diagnosis , stage 1 grade 3 triple negative. lumpectomy clear nodes but lymph vascular invasio. For months my left leg has been going numb at night but in recent months it’s getting painful and and cramping at rest or goes numb . i’ve spoke to GP and they said to update if continues it gets worse but also feel made to feel like we bit over worried at times so stop self goimg to gp . Know this can be side effect of tamoxifen but iv has no side effects since starting it previous to this. Anyone experience this and ha sit checked any advice be apreciated.

  • Hi, sorry to hear you're struggling with cramps. I noticed you've not had any replies yet, the site is busy and you've dropped down the pages,  it my reply will pop you back to the top again and hopefully someone with similar experience will be along soon. Best wishes

  • Hello,

I too had TNBC in 2015. Unfortunately I also had nerve damage from the Taxotere. This means I periodically get spells of severe cramp especially at night. I see a neurologist and he altered my vitamin replacements to help correct the cramp. Bloods showed I was lower on zinc and vit D than I should have been. It may have been a coincidence but the cramps have definitely got fewer.

Perhaps you could mention this to your GP? I have no objection to you quoting my situation.

Hope it is sorted soon. Numbness and cramps, especially if they wake you at night, can feel very debilitating.

    Take care. Karen
