Hello everyone
I was wondering how you feel after having Zoledronic acid infusion. I had my first yesterday and to receive it every six months. I feel awful today. I’ve had chills headache body pain and feel sick. Is this normal to feel so bad?
Everyone’s different Hennie but the SE you mention sound fairly normal in my experience . I had my last one (no.7) on the 18 th December still feel slightly nauseous. The SE can be quite random I always describe them as feeling fluey . The body pains tend to appear in weak areas mine were in lower back and ankles . Also some kidney pain along with UTI make sure you drink plenty before and after infusion ..
I’ve made it sound. Dreadful but it usually only last couple of weeks I believe the benefits outweigh the SE
My story is on my profile feel free to read if you wish
take care
Thanks for your reply. I am glad to hear that others have had it too. Hope you are doing ok?x
Thanks Margaret hopefully it will pass soon. I hope you are doing ok x
I think that is a normal reaction, though I have had 4 now and the only reaction I get is a subtle lowering of mood and irritability for about a week.
Should have said, I also get tired out for a week
