I had lobular cancer and had an operation and then chemotherapy and radiotherapy that finished the end of July and I am surprised how little my friends know about cancer in general. It was oh your tatment has finished so your back to normal, they don’t seem to have any idea how it affects you and how long it takes to get back to any kind of normal. My consultant said go home and live your life
hen I had no hair, was tired all the time and still are. The other effects on your skin and well-being and the lack of support from the medical profession and I had private treatment is terrible.. I
ent out Friday night and a friend of mine I hadn’t seen said oh it’s nice to see you now your back to normal
Hi Tanpep2 I am sorry you're having a difficult time right now. I found the people were well intentioned and didn't really fully understand what I'd been though and sometimes the choice of words isn't ideal, but I felt generally people meant well so I tried not to let it bother me. I hope your recovery continues well. Best wishes
