Evening

After having 4 biopsies taken a week ago - I am now convinced that the breast area of concern has been irrated and subsequently become more pronounced.

I only have  a few more days to wait till I get my results - prior to my recall and subsequent biopsies I was unaware of any issues.

Now I  100% can feel  a significant thickness or lump  - ian I over reacting- is this just the waiting game messing with my mind..

Hi there and I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation. Let’s face it, any invasive treatment to the skin or under it is bound to cause a trauma. The area has never had such a bashing and it will feel hard/ lumpy for a while. As, at this point, it’s an ‘unknown’ you cannot help but stress but my advice would be don’t touch the area as your possibly putting more pressure on the sore places. Be kind to the area and try your hardest to carry on as before. I wish you well and a negative reply. Xx

  • Hi , and a warm welcome to the forum. Sorry you find yourself here but it’s a great place for support and shared experiences. After my biopsies my breast was painful and bruised, and I found some comfort from wearing a soft crop top at night for support. I definitely wouldn’t poke and prod it as it’s been insulted enough! The waiting is tortuous, somehow you’ll endure it and then once you’ve had your results you’ll know what you’re dealing with. Wishing you well, hopefully you’ll just be ‘passing through’ and get reassured that all is ok. But if it’s cancer then we will all be here to support you. Keep posting and let us know how it goes.
Sending love and a big virtual hug your way, HFxx

  • I got a leaflet when I had my biopsy to say that it can quite often cause hardness. Mine was certainly worse for a few weeks.

  • Thank you... Will let you know x
