Does anyone know when the blue dye will go away?? It doesn’t bother me considering all the scars I’ve got but just wondered! I’ve had it for 3 1/2 months now!
Hi Shellbell24, welcome to the Smurf club (actually I’m now a ex member as my boob is no longer blue). Mine took a long time to go, definitely still there when I had a check up 7 months post op! Not sure exactly when it faded completely. Hope all ok with your treatment, read your profile and you’ve definitely got lots going on. Think you are probably part way through chemo now? Mine went after a couple of months but my surgeon said it sometimes takes a year to go. I guess everyone is different depending on the amount of dye used and it’s position.
Hi Happyfeet, I call it my Smurf boob funnily enough! It’s strange how long it stays and nobody tells you about it! yeah it’s been a rough ride and currently having chemo as I type this but the ops were all successful so that’s the main thing! hope you’re well x
Hi Shellbell24 It does fade gradually but it can take a long time. My boob - Papa Smurf - still has a blue tinge and I had the blue dye in May last year!
Hi. I had surgery November 21 and I've still got a small very light blue patch which hasn't gone yet. The rest seemed to fade after about 6 months but after a year still got a bit. I'm sure it will fade eventually x
